Your Google data
Windrush Solutions PTY LTD (trading as BOS Windrush) | ABN 82 665 004 400 Last updated: 20 October 2026
This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your data when you connect a Google account to the Windrush BOS platform. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
You choose whether to connect. Nothing is read from Google until you press Connect and approve it on Google's own screen.
What each connection reads
Gmail
- Reads: the sender, subject and first 3,000 characters of each email, and PDF and image attachments.
- Writes: a label on emails we have handled.
- Does not: send email from your account, or delete your email.
- What it is for: finding customer enquiries, bills, supplier emails and payment emails, and turning them into records in the Platform.
- Email text is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to sort each email. When you import a bill from an email, the PDF bill attached to it is also sent to Anthropic to read it. Anthropic does not use any of it to train AI models.
Google Calendar
- Writes: events for your jobs, tasks and crew assignments, and changes or removes the events we added.
- Does not: read your other events.
- Events go on a separate calendar that BOS creates, called "BOS". If you connected Calendar before BOS started making its own calendar, events keep going on your main calendar until you reconnect Calendar in BOS.
Google Drive
- BOS can list the files and folders in your Drive so you can choose which to link to a job, and it opens the files you link or preview. It cannot change or delete anything.
What we do with it
We use Google data only to give you these features. We do not sell it. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to create, train or improve any AI model. Our people do not read it, except with your permission for a support request, for security or abuse, or where the law requires.
Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How to disconnect
- Sign in to BOS.
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Choose Disconnect on Gmail, Calendar or Drive.
You can also remove our access from Google at any time: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Google keeps one permission for BOS that covers Gmail, Calendar and Drive. When you disconnect one of them in BOS, BOS stops using it straight away, but Google still lists BOS on that page until you disconnect the last one. If you remove BOS on Google's page, Gmail, Calendar and Drive are all disconnected at once.
What disconnecting removes
- We stop reading your Google account straight away.
- Emails we already stored from Gmail stay in the Platform until you ask us to delete them (see below).
- Events we added to your calendar stay there until you delete them in Google Calendar.
How to ask us to delete your Google data
Email info@windrush.net.au. Tell us the Google address that was connected and your company name. We will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is you first.
